The Mahavishnu Project – Trinumeral 08 – RFWtv

One of the most definitive sounds of jazz, forboding through a crash of innovative percussion and string is exactly what the Mahavishnu Orchestra created in 1971.  A short lived vision of progressive music, John McLaughlin saw the ebb and flow over the years the ensemble would restructure itself with new members;  even still, the dream was over in the chill of the eighties.

In 2008, at the Trinumeral Music Festival held in Ashville, NC, RFWtv met up with today’s tribute band that keeps the groove and spirit of the original jazz supergroup alive.    Enjoy the songs and  discover  a vinyl of the original arts – you will not regret it.
