The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker at ROTHBURY Music Festival 2008

This past year, Michigan celebrated it’s inaugural festival with quite a debut. Put on by Madison House Productions of Boulder, Colo. and AEG Live , ROTHBURY was a festival designed to create 0% waste. Amazing huh?! Well – striving to find ways of making it as waste free as possible.

I had quite a time representing both Roving Festival Writer, LLC and WEMU 89.1, and part of my audio coverage was a series of interviews with some of the greatest musicians around.

The coolest, coolest what?!? (Yea – Lupe!) – Anyhow, that is what I think about when it comes to the gents pictured in the photo displayed. Both Bill Elder and Charles Walker are musicians and vocalist of an era striving to kick because that’s all it’s got. Ya feel me? Sitting down with these good old boys, I smiled thinking of the future projects and sounds to be heard.
