This past year, Michigan celebrated it’s inaugural festival with quite a debut. Put on by Madison House Productions of Boulder, Colo. and AEG Live , ROTHBURY was a festival designed to create 0% waste. Amazing huh?! Well – striving to find ways of making it as waste free as possible.

I had quite a time representing both Roving Festival Writer, LLC and WEMU 89.1, and part of my audio coverage was a series of interviews with some of the greatest musicians around.

My first interview posted is with the legendary Bettye Lavette. After listening to the podcast, you too will agree that the significance of her being asked to perform at the Yes We Can, free Lincoln Memorial concert for Barak Obama the day before the MLK’s birthday is just perfect.
